Murderdolls是由Slipknot的吉他手Joey Jordison和Static-X的吉他手Tripp Eisen組成一個(gè)sideproject樂(lè)隊(duì)。樂(lè)隊(duì)把主要風(fēng)格定位于充滿侵略性的說(shuō)唱金屬與活力十足的硬核朋克的相互融合，建隊(duì)之初只有兩名吉他手，在 1999年的Ozzfest音樂(lè)節(jié)上還有過(guò)表演。之后樂(lè)隊(duì)召入了主唱Wednesday 13、貝斯手Eric Griffin以及鼓手Ben Graves，并在2002年錄制發(fā)行了專輯Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls。

“許多孩子都會(huì)受到這張專輯啟發(fā)的，因?yàn)檫@不再是一張歌詞壓抑的專輯。”Murderdolls吉他手Joey Jordison說(shuō)——他強(qiáng)烈意識(shí)到，從Slipknot到現(xiàn)在這套仍極其不穩(wěn)定的班底，這對(duì)他來(lái)說(shuō)是個(gè)急劇的變化，“對(duì)于我來(lái)說(shuō)和在Slipknot相比之下，這里的工作和以前的有些不一樣。我不在這個(gè)樂(lè)隊(duì)里做鼓手，我不在這個(gè)樂(lè)隊(duì)里戴面具，兩者的音樂(lè)相比之下也是天壤之別。盡管仍是以重金屬為主，但和原來(lái)的音樂(lè)相比我們有創(chuàng)新之處，因?yàn)椤f(shuō)起來(lái)也滑稽——現(xiàn)在的音樂(lè)更有旋律，更易于理解，這也一點(diǎn)沒(méi)錯(cuò)，因?yàn)槊繕邮挛锒疾豢赡芸偸悄敲闯林兀偸悄敲磯阂值摹！?
