101個藍色的、三個蘋果高的藍精靈在大森林里快樂的生活，可是巫師格格巫和阿茲貓總想捉住他們，用他們熬一道美味的湯。于是，他們之間就有了無數有趣好玩的故事。  電影版《藍精靈》將結合真人表演和電腦動畫，讓演員與影片中的小動物們進行對話。這個電影計劃已經籌備了七年。目前，影片的詳細劇情尚未透露，不過可以保證的是在這部電影中我們可以再度重溫這些經典的動畫人物，比如藍爸爸和他的孩子們，以及邪惡的格格巫。  本片將以3D和2D兩種形式上映。
